Knights, a forge and a summer as in 1517
Behind the scenes of the SRF series “Im Schatten der Burg”: a summer as in 1517, with the camera right on the jousting field.
In summer 2017 the Dietschi family lived for three weeks as in 1517 for “Schweiz aktuell”, near the Neu-Bechburg in Oensingen. The film visits their farm and the Mittelalterspektakel in Hinwil.
At the jousting lane the camera stands a few steps in front of the quintain as a rider charges in and strikes its helmet with his lance. Then the market, with a smith’s forge and medieval crafts.
Published in July 2017 on the pages of “Schweiz aktuell”, while the family was still living in Oensingen. Part of the collaboration with SRF.
