Over the Hundschopf, 41 degrees steep
The Lauberhorn downhill, filmed all round on Bruno Kernen’s helmet: the first film of its kind from an FIS downhill.
In January 2014 the 1997 downhill world champion skied the World Cup course in Wengen, the camera just above his helmet.
The film shows three minutes of the course from the racer’s perspective, including the Hundschopf at a 41-degree gradient, the passage that the race of the same year skipped because of wind.
Published in race week on srf.ch, in a player programmed for it. Produced with tpc, the SRG’s production subsidiary. Part of the collaboration with SRF.
