Summit perspectives, public for the first time
Summit perspectives that until then had been closed to the wider public.
For Mammut #project360, a purpose-built carrying system with cameras was developed, made for extreme terrain and carried by the mountaineers who climbed the routes themselves.
The Eiger north face came first, in 2014, with Dani Arnold and Stephan Siegrist. With the Mammut Pro Team, more than 40 routes followed, from the Matterhorn and El Capitan to Elbrus. In 2016, Lakpa Sherpa, Pemba Rinji Sherpa, Ang Kaji Sherpa and Kusang Sherpa carried the system up Everest’s south route to the summit.
Anyone who will never stand on the ridge can follow the route step by step, from the perspective of those who climbed it. The tours ran online, at fairs, in Mammut Stores and in the side programme of the European Outdoor Film Tour; the Everest campaign reached more than 180 million people. Part of the collaboration with Mammut.
