The elephants stay, the film goes on tour
Standing in the middle of the elephant herd, closer than anyone else may: the elephants stayed at home, the film went on tour with Circus Knie.
From the 2016 season, Circus Knie no longer showed elephant acts. For the 2017 tour the elephants were filmed in the Himmapan elephant park in Rapperswil, the cameras right among the animals.
The elephants move close around the camera, full size, with the sound of the location. A young elephant reached for the microphone with its trunk.
On the Swiss tour the film ran non-stop in the circus foyer, and also on knie.ch, on social media and at press days. The start of the collaboration with the House of Knie.
