A centenary at the places of a poet
A tour for the 100th birthday of the poet Silja Walter, at the places in Fahr Abbey where she lived for over 60 years.
The Benedictine nun came to Fahr Abbey on the Limmat in 1948. For her 100th birthday in April 2019, ten places around the abbey were recorded and linked with her texts and poems.
Each place has its text: on the bank of the Limmat and in the abbey church, poems by Silja Walter are read; in the cemetery, at her grave beside her fellow sisters, her thoughts.
So her places can be visited even from far away. In May 2019 SRF’s “Schweiz aktuell” showed the work in a report from Fahr.
